Some weddings just have that extra something special — and Greg and Colleen’s intimate celebration at Valley View Farm in Haydenville, Massachusetts was exactly that. As a Western MA photographer, I’ve photographed many weddings in the Pioneer Valley, but this one felt uniquely heartfelt and personal.
A Thursday to Remember
Greg and Colleen chose to say “I do” on a Thursday — the exact date of their ten-year anniversary together. Their ceremony at Valley View Farm, surrounded by a small circle of family and friends (and their adorable dogs!), was full of joy, laughter, and genuine connection.
The decision to marry locally before their larger destination celebration in Italy a few months later made this day even more meaningful. It was a chance to share the moment with those who couldn’t make the trip abroad — and to celebrate in true New England style.
The Beauty of Valley View Farm
Valley View Farm is one of Western Massachusetts’ most charming venues. With its rustic post-and-beam barn, rolling fields, and quiet countryside, it perfectly reflects everything that makes the region so special. The golden light, the open air, and the timeless setting all came together beautifully for their ceremony.
As a Western Mass professional photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop — every detail was picture-perfect.
Style and Details
Colleen’s look was effortlessly elegant. Her dress was the perfect blend of casual and bridal, light and easy to move in but full of charm. I absolutely loved her pearl purse — a subtle, vintage-inspired accessory that added a touch of sophistication. Every detail of the day felt intentionally simple yet graceful — from the floral touches to the relaxed, joyful energy shared between everyone present.
Reception at Union Station
After their ceremony, Greg and Colleen celebrated at Union Station in Northampton, a venue that brought a bit of urban energy to balance the rustic countryside setting. Between the laughter, speeches, and candlelit dinner, the evening was filled with warmth and love. The Union Station venue, right near the tunnel bar offers a variety of photos that any photographer in Massachusetts would love to photograph! I am so glad I got to capture their love & their day at this beautiful reception hall!
